Competitive Program Aimed at New and Recent Engineering School Graduates

Washington, D.C. - The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced that it is seeking applications from engineering school graduates with superior academic credentials and an interest in communications engineering for its Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program. Through the program, the FCC recruits new and recent engineering school graduates to the FCC and the field of communications.

Applications are usually accepted during the month of October, but monitor the FCC page for the exact dates this Fall

FCC expanding recruiting

The GAO just delivered a management report to the FCC, suggesting the agency work to reverse the severe attrition impacting the agency over the last ten years.

Like most large organizations, the FCC is facing significant brain drain as baby boomers retire.

"GAO recommended that FCC develop performance targets and evaluations for recruiting and use more flexible strategies to increase its workforce. The report also suggested FCC provide clear guidance on internal communication."
