What is Part15?
I've removed Mollom protection from all forms except: new user register, lost password form, site-wide contact form and user contact forms. This means that authenticated users can post freely without restriction and text analysis.
Why am I doing this? The Mollom product has annoyed too many of our users... So away it goes. We will possibly need to tap some volunteers to unpublish spam posts that may appear. We'll see what needed in the future.

Greets,
Just a quick note so you know whats going on. Apologies for the recent downtime, we lost the hardware that hosted this and a bunch of other sites that I run. Unfortunately at the same time of the loss of the hardware, an issue came to light: a typo in the data backup process for part15.us We lost about a month's worth of data for the website :(
I apologize for not posting this sooner, I've been crazy busy restoring websites. Also, so you guys know, there is no security issue, as that rumor came up elsewhere. We haven't been hacked. your accounts and data are safe. :)
Again, sorry for the downtime and loss of data. that issue is corrected and won't happen again!

Straight from the horse's mouth, a new service to provide alerts for deadlines and rule changes.

Which will apparently be quite soon!
Those leveraged buy-outs that drove massive consolidation seem to have come back on the financiers with a vengence.

Some of our fellow experimenters have taken the time to post their experiences on YouTube - awesome! I found several that seemed to merit a share, and many more are likely there or soon to be added.
Anyone from here thinking about a vid?

Forum contributor Scott gave us a kick start on this new project, so I'll lift a few lines from his post to open this book page.
Scott says "I seem to recall there was a thread once that contained links to sources of free audio content. I'd like to see new, current list here, perhaps as a category under web links, or a standalone page... I'll start things off with some free audio content that I use, or have come across while looking for free content. Most of these I have asked for permission to play on my station, or gleaned enough from their website to determine that syndication was OK"

This short tutorial will demonstrate how to create a station ID audio file to support station operations.
Using the free audio editing application called Audacity and four small WAV files, we'll create an MP3 file that can be added to most playlists. Once you see how much you can do with this simple approach you'll be able to apply these techniques to make your own station sound more professional, and more fun.
